Morrison Brothers carries everything you need for the beginner string player - violins, violas, cellos, and upright basses, as well as cases, bows, rosin, and other string instrument accessories. We don't just carry products for beginners, though. We can get instruments and accessories for advanced students and professional players as well. Two Ways to Purchase

A child wanting to join the band is an exciting thing, but parents sometimes dread the expense of buying equipment their child needs. At Morrison Brothers, we make it easy to get kids into band with two ways to purchase a band instrument:

Buy it Outright: When you purchase an instrument and pay in full, we provide a 20% discount from sticker price!

Lease-Purchase Program: With the Lease-Purchase program, you can lease* a band horn for as low as $45 down and $50 per month in payments over 2 years**. If you pay it off, it's yours to keep, but if your child drops out during the contract period, return the horn to us and, if you're caught up on your payments, you owe nothing else ever -- no penalties, no additional payments.

Marching & Concert Band Accessories

After you've purchased a band horn, there are a number of accessories you'll need to get. Morrison Brothers has a complete selection of mouthpieces, reeds & ligatures, flip-folders, lyres, valve and slide oil, polish cloths, cases, neck straps, and everything else your child needs to be fully prepared for band season. Don't forget a music stand, so they can practice!

The Standard of Excellence Comprehensive Band Method books combine a strong performance-centered approach with music theory, music history, ear training, listening, composition, improvisation, and interdisciplinary studies. The result is the most complete band method available anywhere -- and we have them in stock!

Hal Leonard’s Essential Elements 2000 series is one of the most comprehensive musical instrument methods available. The first difference you will notice between this method and others is that it integrates a video DVD and audio CD with the traditional method book. This improves learning significantly and enables them to be used independently (learning on your own at your own pace) as well as traditional classroom or private instruction.

A crucial accessory for any musician is a metronome. Morrison Brothers carries a large selection of wind-up and digital metronomes, some of which come with built-in tuners!

We carry reeds for all woodwind instruments; we have Vandoren, Rico, and La Voz reeds available in all sizes.

Band instruments are sometimes prone to dents, dings, loose pads, stuck valves and other problems. Ad Morrison Brothers, we have an in-house repair technician who can get your band horn fixed! If you have a band horn you want to sell, bring it to us for a professional inspection and/or pre-sale repair -- it can definitely raise the instrument's market value!
